Your data stays yours.
A simple overview of the information ASTRA uses, what remains on your computer, and how updates work. Last updated October 20, 2026.
Website visits
ASTRA’s website is static and does not include a login, payment form, custom analytics, or tracking cookies. Hosting provider Cloudflare may process IP addresses and request metadata needed to serve and protect the site.
Your apps stay on your PC
The Windows launcher stores your app library, preferences, recent launches, and license status locally on your Windows device. ASTRA doesn’t upload your application list to the website.
Automatic update checks
In ASTRA V4.1.1, update checks are enabled by default and can be disabled in Settings. When enabled and connected to the internet, ASTRA requests a release manifest from astra-launcher.pages.dev. If newer, it downloads the update and checks its digital signature and SHA-256 hash. ASTRA asks before installing. The hosting provider receives normal network metadata, including an IP address.
Downloads & beta licenses
ASTRA downloads are served directly from this website. The community Pro beta license is a shared file and no account is required. The beta file has an expiration date; the free launcher remains available.
