ASTRA is a customizable Windows application launcher. It helps you find apps, pin favorites, group programs into workspaces, and keep frequently used tools close by.

Smart Personal Application Control Environment. It is ASTRA’s proposed organization philosophy: one personal space for your apps, shortcuts and workspaces. S.P.A.C.E. is not a separate app or AI service.

Source packages have been shared during development, but this website currently distributes the Windows executable rather than presenting a maintained public source repository. Do not assume that downloading the app grants an open-source license.

The interactive preview on the homepage is a concept illustration. The installed Windows application can look different.

The current download is intended for 64-bit Windows 10 and Windows 11. There is no official macOS, Linux or Android version on this website.

No. The current ASTRA download is a portable Windows executable. You do not need Visual Studio or a separate .NET installation.

Use the official download page, then compare the downloaded file’s SHA-256 checksum with the published value. The executable is currently unsigned, so proceed carefully with Windows security warnings.

You may keep the portable EXE on removable storage, but its saved application library and preferences are stored on the Windows PC. Moving the executable alone does not transfer your settings.

Open ASTRA, choose Discover to find Start Menu shortcuts, check the imported entries, and pin your most-used programs. See the first-run guide.

Use + Add app in ASTRA, choose the program or shortcut file, give it a recognizable name, and save it. Only open programs you trust.

Yes. ASTRA supports website shortcuts that open in your default browser. Use the Add app flow and choose the relevant website/URL option.

Use ASTRA’s search field to find saved apps and other supported shortcuts. Ctrl + K focuses search while the launcher is open.

The global show/hide shortcut is Ctrl + Alt + Space when available. It may not work if Windows or another program already uses that combination.

They are groups for different activities. For example, keep a browser and notes in Focus, development tools in Build, and games in Play. You decide which saved apps belong in each group.

No. Removing an entry from the launcher removes the shortcut from ASTRA’s collection; it does not uninstall the actual Windows program.

Use the Favorites and Recent sections in ASTRA’s sidebar. Recent entries reflect apps opened through ASTRA, not necessarily every program used on your PC.

Yes. The core Windows launcher can be used without payment or an account. Pro adds optional extras; the free version remains available after the community offer expires.

During the active offer, download the signed community beta license. Open ASTRA → Pro Studio → Activate license, then choose the .license.json file. The offer ends November 3, 2026.

The public beta license is time-limited and expires November 3, 2026. It is not a 365-day license. The license file itself contains the expiration date.

Premium features stop being unlocked by that license. Your saved apps and the core Free launcher remain available.

The current Pro edition includes app tags and notes, usage insights, Smart Launch, extra color themes and automatic local backup snapshots.

No. The website currently offers a free launcher and a limited-time free beta license. It does not collect payments or provide Robux purchasing.

A license created for an older owner/demo build may not match the current format. Use the V4.1.1 build and its compatible .license.json beta file. If the file picker crashes, see the activation guide.

ASTRA V4.1.1 can check your configured release site when connected to the internet. It verifies a signed release manifest and the EXE hash before offering an update. Installation requires your confirmation.

Yes. Launching locally saved programs does not require the website to be online. Update checks are unavailable while offline.

Yes. Open Settings in ASTRA and disable automatic update checks. You can still download releases manually.

The updater is designed to verify signed release metadata and the downloaded file’s SHA-256 checksum. That is separate from a Windows Authenticode signature; the current public executable is not Windows code-signed.

ASTRA is currently an unsigned community build. Check the security page, verify its download hash, and follow Windows Security guidance. Do not disable security protections just to run unfamiliar software.

The app’s saved program list and settings are stored locally. Update checking requests release information from the site; it does not require sending the app library.

This static website currently has no account system, checkout, custom analytics or tracking cookies. Cloudflare hosting may process normal connection information such as IP addresses.

When generated, the log can be found at %LOCALAPPDATA%\ASTRA Launcher\astra-diagnostic.log. It may contain personal Windows paths; redact them before sharing.

Use the Help Center to find the diagnostic log and copy a report template. A public support inbox has not yet been set up, so the website does not accept reports directly.

Not necessarily. The portable program and locally saved ASTRA data are separate. Before changing PCs or reinstalling Windows, export or back up your ASTRA library.
